LIFE TAKEN, LIFE SAVED???

No this blog does not have anything to do with the countless of lives that may have been loaded in dumpsters from downtown crack houses demolished during my early teen years with Big Jake!!! I would only be at most an accomplice in those cases anyways.  Let's start with the life taken. Like all things it starts with Cheryl. Although in this case I can't blame her for trying to be a good mom raising four children and unfortunately for her, one of those was yours truly. Hard enough dealing with my an overly sarcastic asshole and then throw in three other little fuckers. Big Jake constantly working, she was practically a single mom raising four kids. All being too young to leave at home, Cheryl would have to load all of us up in the pickle wagon and bring us with wherever she went. On this occasion we were heading to the Grand Union for some grocery shopping FUN!!! Baby Josh was placed in the seat, my sister Julie was ironically put behind the bars inside the cart with the groceri...

GEN XXX!!!

Recently I have delved into the differences between the generations and how they get along with each other. There are currently seven living generations starting with the Greatest, Silent, Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, Gen Z, and lastly Alpha. Each has their own tendencies based on the generations that came before ie... their parents or even grandparents. Today I'm going to be focusing on Generation X. My generation and probably most of my thousands of dedicated readers!!! I will share with you my experience growing up as a Gen Xer.  Being born into Baby Boomer mother and Silent Generation dad, my parents are about ten years apart in age, was mostly great for me. My dad worked 2 jobs, construction during the day and bouncing at night and was hammered most of that time. With the exception of Sundays. Which he woke early and cooked breakfast listening to Patsy Cline on the 8 track player as loud as possible it seemed. He also sang his little rhymes while making the eggs and bacon...

Soccer’s The Worlds Religion and Southeast High's Hell

Another trip down memory lane. This time we visit JB at Southeast High during his junior year.  Just finishing the football season, it was time to join our soccer team and continue my pursuit of athletic greatness at my Alma mater the fighting Seminoles.  Our coach knew absolutely nothing about the sport of soccer and even less about the make up of his rag tag team. He was one of the school's PE Coaches and more than likely got voluntold that he was to be the soccer coach. Like most coaches back in the day, he wore those sweat pants that when you moved made a swishing sound. The coaches only thought on the sport was if you could run fast you should play. Which didn’t bode well for yours truly as I am no Usain Bolt. So even though I had, in my mind, lots of skills I did a lot of riding the pine on the sideline. Coach did let a swift Vietnamese student named Tee Yam play. As well as no grasp of the English language, Tee also had no idea how to kick or pass the soccer ball. He wa...

Firecracker Go Boom!!!

July four I adore No taxation Without representation  Tax our stamps and tea And this I’ll guarantee  Americans will unite  Come together and fight  Togetherness was the key  In becoming the land of the free   Have the years changed the feel  And our great lands appeal I didn’t sign up for this bumpy ride  Friends and family taking sides Presently our country seems tore Heading towards another not so civil war Knowing none of us have to really agree Just move on with your life and let it be So do me a fucking favor Attempt to love your neighbor  Doesn’t matter if you like them our not We all came from the same melting pot If we can't do this we really have lost I fear what might be the ultimate cost We will see what America has in store  Hopefully its what our forefathers stood for   Happy fourth fuckers!!!
