CONE OF UNCERTAINTY

The place we seek peace with our loved ones and where we reside. They say it’s where the heart is and no one’s alone.   The secureness is lessened when the tropics begin to stir. Especially when you’re living inside the dreaded cone.   The meteorologists update the track every few hours. As the impending storm moves at a snail pace.  Waiting and uncertainty is all we got. Really not knowing what wind and surge that we may truly face.  Run from the water and hide from the wind. Are the choices we all must decide.  Either evacuate or stay both hard choices to make. Choose quickly you must though then buckle in for the ride.  As days become hours the point of landfall becomes clear. Mother Nature is control now and delivering her wrath.  The wall of intensity has finally arrived. YOU ARE THE MOTHER!!!

  Last Monday Cheryl and Big Jake came to our office so Big Jake could see our new dump truck. While Big Jake waited for the truck to arrive at the shop I started to converse with Cheryl out in one of the outside bays. Cheryl mentioned Burlington Massachusetts, the small town her and Big Jake grew up in and how she had a lot of saved memories that she would like to make our son the keeper of since she’s not getting any younger. I used this as my opening. Today was going to be the day a secret that we were both keeping was finally going to be revealed. For one of us it’s been kept for the past 2 or 3 years and the other since she was 21!!!   I started the discussion by telling my mom that the of Burlington history is quite interesting!!!
